Arequipa - Die weiße Stadt

Manche Leute sagen, um nach Arequipa zu reisen bräuchte man einen Reisepass. Die Stadt ist komplett anderes als der Rest Perus. Weiße koloniale Gebäude prägen das Zentrum der Stadt und der Vulkan Misti wacht über die Bewohner.

Das Kloster in Herzen der Stadt ist das größte und beeindruckendste Kloster, dass ich je gesehen habe. Zu klassischer Musik kann man durch die alten Bogengänge spazieren, die Seele baumeln lassen und sich einfach dem Ambiente hingeben und es genießen. Ich habe ein wenig den Überblick über die Zeit verloren, habe aber bestimmt zwei bis drei Stunden im Kloster verbracht.

Arequipe - The white city

Some people say, that to travel to Arequipa you would need a passport. The city is completely different from the rest of Peru. White colonial buildings dominate the center of the city and the volcano Misti watches over its inhabitants.

The monastery in the heart of the city is the largest and most impressive monastery I have ever seen. To classical music you can walk through the old arcades, take a break from everyday life and simply indulge in the ambience and enjoy it. I have lost track of time a little, but spent certainly two to three hours in the monastery.
